Primus Line partners with MTC for the distribution of its water application products in North America

MTC, the material supply division of Aegion Corporation based in St. Louis, Missouri, and Raedlinger Primus Line, manufacturer of a versatile trenchless pipe rehabilitation system based in Germany, recently signed an agreement to collaborate. MTC will be the exclusive distributor of Primus Line rehabilitation and bypass products for water applications and make them available to Primus Line customers and installation partners in North America.

The big advantage: the availability on the North American continent significantly reduces delivery times and allows clients to start the rehabilitation process on short notice, a particular benefit to the municipal market. In the case of emergency operations, such as those resulting from unexpected leaks or reactive works, this is crucial and enables recommissioning in record time.

“With great pleasure we announce this partnership that combines the technical sales expertise of MTC and the pressure pipe manufacturing experience of Raedlinger Primus Line. We see great potential in contributing with our technology to an efficient, safe and environmentally friendly realization of the water infrastructure measures decided by the U.S government,” explains Peter Lischewski, Managing Director of Raedlinger Primus Line.

Preparation for measures from the Water Infrastructure Investment Plan

The Water Infrastructure Investment Plan was another aspect to push the cooperation. Raedlinger Primus Line provides its installation partners in North America with the best support and ensure an optimum supply of materials for the large number of projects that will result from this plan. For continuity, our U.S. Primus Line team led by Director of Sales, John Moody, is available to assist customers and partners for consultation and specific project inquiries. With MTC, the company has an experienced and professional partner for distribution at its side.

“This strategic alliance brings together more than 60 years of experience in engineering, technical know-how and production with unsurpassed quality control. We look forward to serving our existing and new customers on their Primus Line projects in the public and private sectors,” says Mark Wetzel, Senior Director, MTC.

The Primus Line® system is based on a flexible liner and specially designed connectors for connection to the old pipe and can be used not only for pipeline rehabilitation but also as a bypass. Due to the bendability and large pull-in lengths of up to 8,000 feet, the system is suitable for trenchless pipe rehabilitation both in inner-city areas and in sensitive or difficult-to-access natural and landscape areas. Primus Line pull-in extends the service life of a pipeline by at least 50 years and is possible regardless of the material of the existing pipe. MTC will provide products for use in the potable water and wastewater sectors. With this historic partnership, Primus Line is also launching its brand new overland piping system for bypass and emergency potable water applications.
